Sarah Bladdick’s Post

During my research for my Information Design Project, I found this series of posters designed by Jim LePage and was truly blown away. LaPage decided to dedicate 66 weeks to make a poster for each book of the Bible. The posters have a really cool feel to them. They are all different, but at the same time it is very evident that they were all created to be part of a set and go together. After looking at these, I couldn't help but think that these would be really cool to put in a Bible before each book sorta as a introduction page to each new book. I really like how each poster takes from the book to create an abstract discription of the book on the poster. Super cool! Ya'll need to check it out! 1. So Cool! I love the way he summarized these books in a poster. Genesis is so subtle and interesting. Nehemiah, Ezekiel and Daniel are also really cool looking. This Poster Design project is such a great idea!

  2. These are great. I really like Joshua, Judges, 2 Samuel, Job, and Lamentations. I lot of them have an element of humor that I like. Lots of good textures and lighting. Daniel is a good example of that. Very good visual summery of the books. I think that would be a fun project.

  3. SO interesting! I love the style of all posters. I really like the color pallets they used, and the imagery. This is a perfect contrast of new cool Bible art, and old classic good Bible art.

  5. Loved the Psalms I Samuel and Ecclesiastes posters. I wish he either would have tried to maintain a consistent style like he appeared to be doing for the first few, or else made them more different. Either way, interesting idea, some very good solutions.

  6. All these posters are great! Each one was carefully planned, and cleverly executed. The color palettes are also wonderful. One of my favorites was the Judges poster. I got a kick out of Samson's tattoos.
