We have all encountered Informative posters that are extremely boring. As Designers it is our goal to communicate information in an appealing/creative manner. Like we have learned in class, the information is the most important part of “Information Design.” Therefore, the material should be both easy to read and visually pleasing to keep the audience’s attention. The facts must be correct and constructed effectively throughout the poster. Here are some informative posters I have found that work very well.
I liked the friendly style these posters generated. They were enjoyable to read and evoked interest I probably wouldn’t have had without the artistic design. A traditional poster about “left and right Government” would have never kept my attention, but with this one, I actually followed it all the way through. I would have to call it a successful poster. The vibrant colors and fun shapes captured my attention in both this poster as well as the others. “The Digital Dump” poster had the same effect.
The website I found has a ton of super good inspiration for our own projects.

This is a really great resource for this project! They have a lot of fun, really creative ideas. I particularly enjoyed a poster called "what not to wear to stores". The graphics were entertaining and well done, and the information was portrayed in a way that I actually wanted to read all of it, and after doing so, understood what it was saying : )
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool site! I love how free and fun it is because it really helped inspire me in my own work. I feel that too many times graphic designers get stuck in a rut of generality and pressure to include everything. Since working on this information design project I can understand a little bit more how difficult it is to include all aspects of a information piece while keeping it interesting. This site is a good way to get out of that rut!
ReplyDeleteHoly WOW, this website is awesome, It was hard for me to find a site like this, and yes they have perfect information ensign examples, I really like how easy, clean and unique style they have.
ReplyDeleteThis site is a great reference for info posters. Thanks for sharing! I've found info posters to be challenging because you right when you say the info is the most important part of it all. So to make a poster displaying all of that info be also interesting and not loose the audiences interest is a challenge. These posters seem to work great though and a lot can be learned from looking them over. The use of color and places meant of the info is different for each one but draws the reader in and makes them follow a path till they know all they need to know
ReplyDeleteThese all look really cool! i like the design of the website to it looks very well done. but all of the stuff in there are very well designed and look very cool. Good inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThese people are really good at making info design. Their vector art is great and the ideas are executed well. I especially liked the piece about the NCAA Tournament (The Midwest really is best). Really great work overall, which you would expect considering all their high profile clients.
ReplyDeleteGood work! Really love the interactive design pieces. Adds another level to the information. Gotta check out the one about Global freedom levels.
