  1. In all honesty, I did tend to skim just a bit (it was a decent length,) but that gave me some good laughs. I agree with a lot of this stuff, and I enjoy always seeing everyone's take on what typefaces are the best and the worst. It's very subjective, as was even shown in the data recorded from the questionnaire. He also quoted designer Mark Simonson and I agree with what Simonson was describing. A lot of these typefaces such as Papyrus and Brush Script are very much "novice-magnets." When designing a poster or a brochure, etc... and you're not a real "designer," you'll do whatever is necessary to impress and to draw attention, such as using a flashy typeface.
